1. FRIDA WANNERBERGER
Frida Wannerberger wears the best dresses, so it’s no wonder her subjects have such a glorious sense of style.
Frida has been a favourite of mine for a couple of years, ever since I discovered her collaboration with one of my most treasured museums, The Wallace Collection. Frida created four fashion illustrations inspired by different corners of the museum, including The Girl on the Landing, which I have at home. You can still buy them here.
2. ANA LEOVY
We all need a bit of colour in our lives, especially at the moment. Ana Leovy’s work is so colourful it radiates warmth from the moment you stumble upon it. Working in Mexico, Ana’s paintings are filled with wild and wonderful women, she celebrates diversity and the female form in the most glorious and deserved way possible. You can shop her work here.
3. CHARLOTTE KEATES
It’s no surprise that I was drawn to Charlotte Keates as soon as I came across her in my feed – lots of her work features exotic scenes of palms, mid-century buildings and swimming pools, which is everything that drew me to David Hockney as a child. She’s currently working towards a solo show in New York, you can find her art here.
4. ANNABEL WYATT-DUNFORD
Inspired by the likes of Cecily Brown, Annabel lives and works in Brighton, creating some amazing figurative works and portraits. I love her super classy feed of earthy, muted tones and moody blues… it must be all that seaside living. You can buy her pieces on Etsy or check out her website for helpful blog posts like ‘Art activities you can do when you’re quarantined’
5. ROSIE MCGUINNESS
Forging a fusion of fashion illustration and life drawing, Rosie McGuinness has created for the likes of Dior, Net-A-Porter, The V&A and The New York Times. Many of her drawings make me lust after clothes that probably don’t even exist, but also plenty that do, like the above pink suit from Jaeger.
